Dal 5 al 7 Settembre 2019 si è svolto il FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention, un fenomeno di cultura pop di livello mondiale che offre ai fan un’interazione ravvicinata e personale con i loro attori e autori preferiti. Questo anno grande occasione per gli appassionati della saga poichè erano ospiti Matthew Lewis e Jason Isaacs.
Entrambi gli attori hanno rilasciato interviste e rivelato alcuni ‘segreti‘ e sfaccettature dei personaggi da loro interpretati.
Cosa ha dichiarato Matthew al FanX
- La sua scena preferita eliminata: spera che un giorno rilasceranno le scene di Pix il Poltergeist ed ha raccontato di quanto sia stato difficile per loro filmare perché tutti i bambini non potevano avere una faccia seria.
“All of Peeves the Poltergeist’s scenes. I hope they can see the light of day, because you’d enjoy them as much as we did filming them [..] The only problem was that NONE OF US could keep a straight face with Rick. I just hope that one day you get to see it and see how brilliant and perfect he was in that role.”
- Abito ingombrante per farlo sembrare grasso e denti finti per creare ‘longbottoming‘.
“I never in a million years would’ve expected [people all talking about the ‘glow-up’]. It’s not my focus, and I’m really humbled, but I don’t get it.”
- Tutti coloro che amano Neville, vorranno vedere Matthew recitare nella commedia romantica Baby Done che uscirà nel 2020.
- Matthew in realtà su Pottermore non è Grifondoro, bensì Tassorosso. Ciò non deve stupire i fan poichè Neville ha molto caratteristiche gradite a questa casa e Matthew assomiglia molto al suo personaggio.
- Matthew riconosce la grande opportunità che ha avuto di lavorare con molti attore di esperienza e di incredibile talento, ma ammette anche la sua ammirazione per i suoi coetanei con cui ha lavorato. Ha parlato molto dell’etica del lavoro di Dan, della possibilità che dovessero essere bambini normali durante le riprese e di quanto siano cresciuti.
“If I had to choose one person, probably Dan Radcliffe. We were really close on set and had similar music tastes. I found him very inspirational – he had incredible work ethic. Dan pulled his weight from such a young age.”
“[Dan] could easily put his feet up like, ‘Yeah, I’m Harry Potter, I don’t care anymore.’ But he doesn’t.”
Cosa ha dichiarato Jason al FanX
- Il nostro Lucius non incontrò zia Jo fino alla fine della serie di libri.
“I’d never met J.K., but we were both at this event and they asked if I wanted to. I was thinking to myself ‘Don’t ask her if you’re going to be in Book 7.’ I get up there and she says, ‘You’re in chapter 1’ And I said ‘and then what?’ And she looked at me like…”
- Nuovo lavoro in vista per Jason: doppiaggio nel film di Scooby Doo.. non vediamo l’ora!
“Every now and then I get a mustache-twirling evil character. I’ll be voicing Dick Dastardly in the new Scooby Doo movie.’”
- Inizialmente fece un provino per ottenere la parte di Allock. E voi riuscireste ad immaginare un Lucius diverso da lui?
- ‘Adoro la magia!’. Anche se questa non è una citazione di Lucius, potrebbe benissimo averla pronunciato Jason in persona. Infatti sul set invece di chiudere una porta mentre lasciava una stanza, chiese di agitare il braccio e di chiudere la porta con la magia.
“My favorite scene was my first day. [Chris Columbus] told me to shut the door when leaving Dumbledore’s office, and I asked him ‘Can I just wave my hand and close it with magic?’ He said yeah and that’s why I loved this job.”
- C’è qualche bacchetta più iconica nei film di Harry Potter della bacchetta / serpente di Lucius? Non solo ha ferito accidentalmente Tom Felton con i denti del serpente, ma era anche sua idea.
“I asked for the cane. It wasn’t in the script or anything. I said ‘I want to pull my wand out of it.’ And [Chris Columbus] said, ‘I think the toy guys are gonna love you.’”
- Udite udite, non gli dispiacerebbe essere Hermione: il nostro Lucius ha infatti elogiato Hermione Granger, ma ha elogiato Emma Watson ancora di più.
What other character would you be and why?“I have daughters. Hermione, because she’s the brightest witch and turned into an amazing woman. Just as Emma [Watson] has.”
Dichiarazioni più o meno note ai fan più sfegatati, ma fa sempre piacere conoscere nuovi dettagli e sfaccettature della saga!
