Kobe Bryant non era solo un cestista statunitense, una superstar della pallacanestro, considerato tra i migliori giocatori della storia dell’NBA, era anche una icona globale. Era un simbolo di generazioni di ragazzi e ragazze che amano lo sport oltre le rivalità.
Il cordoglio per la sua prematura scomparsa è unanime, da parte di campioni di tutti gli sport, politici e appassionati di tutto il mondo. Anche da tutti i potterhead giungono reazioni sconvolte.
Kobe Bryant adorava i libri di Harry Potter. Dichiarò che JK Rowling era la sua figura britannica preferita . In una intervista di Chuck Klosterman per GQ, la star dei Lakers disse:
Chuck Klosterman: [S]ome would argue that “branding” is storytelling with a commercial end.
Kobe: For some. For some. But that’s not a universal thing. That’s like saying every wizard within Slytherin House is a villain.
